We educate our k...Hey Trisha - I like this, a lot. We educate our kids ourselves, a bit of a hippy thing to do, but then I suppose it is good to be honest about who you are.<br /><br />This year in hiistory I'm doing time-lines with them and never realized what broader benefit it would have. It was an idea a friend of mine who teaches history at University gave me, to 'connect' my kids to history, show them they are 'part' of something. So the idea was to start with their birth & create a time-line to where they are now, photo's, momento's drawings and so on and then to work from their birth backwards into my & Zuko's history & from there into the countries history & then into the world.<br /><br />After having read your post I'm inspired to do it & to use it as an opportunity for introspection, imagine we can teach them to think about their own lives in a spiritual & emotional sense, now (when their 11, 10 and 8), just imagine how that could give them life.<br /><br />Thank you for taking the time to write this.<br /><br />TAnonymousnoreply@blogger.com
